Privacy note
This page is the Top Barz track vote for CultureCon. Here is what it collects when you vote, and why.
What we ask for
- Your name, email and city, the first time you like, comment or share.
- Whether you ticked “Send me Top Barz updates”. It starts unticked.
What we use it for
- To count your vote: one like per track for each email.
- To email you a 6-digit code, so we know the email is yours.
- To send contest results, and to reach the winner.
- To send Top Barz updates, only if you ticked the box.
- To spot and remove unfair voting.
What other people can see
- Your first name, next to a comment you post. Nothing else.
- Your email and city are never shown on the page. The Top Barz team sees them.
What else is kept
- Your likes and comments, each with the time it was made.
- A scrambled form of your network address, to limit repeat sign-ups. The address itself is not stored.
- In your browser: a sign-in token and your first name, so you fill in the form once. Not your email, with one exception: while you are entering your code, what you typed in the form stays on your device so a refresh does not lose your place. It is removed when you finish, and after an hour at most. For a minute after you like or comment, the track’s new count is kept too, so a refresh shows it.
Other services
- The page is served by Cloudflare.
- The code email is sent by Resend, an email service. It is given your email address to deliver the code.
- GIFs come from GIPHY. A GIF search is sent to GIPHY, and a GIF in a comment loads from GIPHY’s servers.
